Anyone in Filzmoos 16th January 2010 ?

Hi All.

just wondering if anyone else wil be in Filzmoos on 16th Jan for 1 week out of Birmingham.

Never been before so looking forward to it.

Wel Mickey, the title gives it away, but I, just seeing if anyone will be in Flzmoos (Inghams) on this date.

I,m staying at the hotel Hanneshof.

Just wondering what hotel is like and as an average Intermidiate skiier, what standard it is ?

Unfortunately not, however have been to Filzmoos 3 times. The village is wonderful and the slopes should keen you happy for a week. The Happy Filzmoos is a popular place for lunch and apri ski. Your hotel is in a good central location although as the village is fairly small most hotels are ok. I have skied in several villages in Austria but for me Filzmoos is the best. The ski bus is good although can be crowded. Actually off to Filzmoos in August so can%26#39;t wait to see what it is like in summer. Happy to try and answer any more questions. p.s. the snow record is fab fab fab so sure you will have a memorable time.

Many thanks for feedback, sounds really good. Not really bothered about night time, probably have a swim and sauna and crash out.

Have been to Seefeld a few times which I liked, so as long as it%26#39;s on par

I will be very happy.

Only booked Filzmoos as origially booked to go Lapland but flight was cancelled.

Certainly take up the offer of further info if anything comes to mind.

No problem. Strangely enough we have also been

to Levi a couple of years ago. We stopped in the

hotel Levitunturi which we really liked. That said

its still Filzmoos for me.

i don%26#39;t think you will be alone in Filzmoos this winter. i only know Filzmoos in summer and autumn, and I think durham fairy will like it. and don%26#39;t forget to go to the Dachstein in Ramsau.

Sorry for being ignorant an dnot knowing the area, but what is the dashstein ?

And how far from Filzmoos ?

the Dachstein is a mountain with glacier, you can go up the mountain with a lift to 2.700 m. it is 15 km from Filzmoos over a mountainroad.
