Fitting Concerts and Dinners in my visit.

We will be in Vienna from next Thursady morning to Saturday evening. I am trying to book a table for 3 persons at the Buffet in Kunsthistorisches Museum via email - no reply from the catering firm after almost a week ... maybe I should call them?

Since the dinner would be starting at 6.30 my guess is that it is doable to eat there and make it in time for the Mozart Requiem performed at KarlsKirche at 8.15 pm... but maybe doing so wouldn%26#39;t be worth the price paid for the Buffet?

Another tight schedule on Friday: a visit to Nussdorf arriving at around 4.30 not only to %26quot;sample%26quot; some white wine, but also to eat there and relax for a while. Is it maybe too early to actually have hot food in a Heuriger?

Then rushing back to Central Vienna to get in time at the MozartHaus or the concert starting at 7.30!

According my plan - and the official timing on the Wiener Linien site - the tram ride from Nussdorf should take around 30 minutes to the Ring, then a quick change to the U-Bahn to get to StephanPlatz.

Your advices very welcomed.

The most enjoyable aspect of the Buffet is to be to take your time over each course and visit various rooms of the museum too.

To visit for such a limited time seems not a very good idea in my opinion. Why rush what could be a great experience in the museum. You are better to find another place to dine or not attend the Requiem.

While you can find food in Nussdorf some places in the afternoon- Zum Renner for an example- again a rushed time and a lesser experience.

To me, relaxing and enjoying some wine in a good atmosphere without having to worry about time is great.

perhaps you can arrive in Nussdorf earlier-

Each have their own priorities, but having to constantly look to your watch contriolling your visits is not much enjoyment to me, especially in such good places.
