from budapest by train to south austria..

Hello all,

Just wondering if you could recommend a town in South Austria for us to visit by train from Budapest. It won%26#39;t be our first time in Austria - we have toured around by train before - (Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Klagenfurt,Kitzbuhel) but are not familiar with places along the Hungarian border. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Near to the Hungarian border you find the neusiedlersee.

You do not mention the period of your visit , but this area has varied offerings that make for good times.

Many portions of this area are well known for excelent wines, summer music offerings at such places as Morbisch, wellness, spa hotels and much more.

many use the lake for sports and it is a premiere area for windsurfing as well.

Not far away is the small city of Eisenstadt.

Further distance -is the city of graz. This with many sightseeing opportunities , mseums and a excelent old city center.

Thanks Vertical, we%26#39;re here in Budapest at the moment and staying here for three months. We were actually in Vienna yesterday on a day trip but have been there a few times already so are anxious to spread our wings a little! Have not been to Graz and that would be quite doable for us, also the first town you mentioned sounds good too. Thank you for your help!
