Riding school - best performance day / time?

Can you tell me which riding school performance is the best – there seem to be different lengths of show depending upon the day?

Also, where are the best seats please?

many thanks.

Insert %26quot; spanish riding school%26quot; in the search box. Look for the excelent responses to questions from the poster Roley. She loves the horses and the Riding School with numerous visits and knows the good seats etc.

Thanks for that Vertical. Having read the advice Roley has given on other posts, I will confirm our flight details then ring the School (they speak English). On the ticket office number given +43-1-533 90 310 and ask for seats is the front row of the Parterre Loge (box on the ground at the top of the hall) / the front row of the Hofloge (royal box) or the Oberestirnseite (top of the hall, next to the royal box) at the Friday evening show.

Sorry, I was in the Riding School and didn%26#39;t see your message :)

You can judge the quality of the seats pretty well by reference to the price - the higher category seats do have the best views. And the more expensive longer shows are worth the extra, IMO. Bearing in mind that I am very nosey and want to see as many of the horses as possible!

Roley - are cameras allowed at the performances?

Photography is not permitted in the school - it may seem a bit of a shame but the lighting is pretty low so pictures come out badly anyway - and flashes of course will not illuminate the huge hall, but merely upset the horses.

It is possible to get some nice pictures of the stables, the Stallburg, from the public footpath that runs under the arcade along one side of the stableyard. If you time it right you might get some outdoor shots of the horses standing in the stable yard before crossing to and fro from training or to the exercise walker (on training days they go across about 5 minutes before the half hour from 7am-12.30) I take pictures of them in the stable yard sometimes since it%26#39;s possible to do so without using a flash or annoying anyone.

Hope that helps!
