A special reason to select this area- a much lesser known place not too far from the city of Bludenz. Not extra high about 2000 meters but seems to attract good snow.
Perhaps you select it due to discount airline connections ?
Several villages in this area Faschina , Damüls ( Damuels ) maybe Mellau- all relatively close -
you do not mention price range - have a look at the following website . It will offer various accomodations

Vertical,
thank you for your prompt reply. Chose Damuls as my husband and son will be skiing in the breganz with his school and the rest of the family will join them when they are finished. We figure if they are in the area we may stay near it. We actually fly into munich ( and yes the tickets were very reasonable) so its not so convenient, but we can take a train.
Perhaps you would suggest somewhere else? I dont think we will hire a car this year.
thanks again

I see the reason for your choice now.
From your comments I assume that you already have tickets.
An alternate airport could have been Memmingen in Germany.
This area of Damuls and nearby villages would most probably be OK for you.
Please note the transfers by train and bus to reach this area.
More convenient would be St. Anton ( am Arlberg ) This offers excelent skiing but is also on a major train line making access much easier for all.
Excelent selection of accomodations

Hi Patricia, don%26#39;t know which airport you are flying into but we usually fly Ryanair to Friedrickshaven and from there( train station is at the airpot) a train to Bludenz followed by taxi to Damuls.Would recommend Hotel-Gasthof Adler.Great position with nice rooms and excellent food. Also the skiing is fantastic and uncrowded even at peak times.
Have a great time

thank you, unfortunately having a problem with accommodation, absolutely nothing available for the time we will be there 16th -22nd feb. So we are really in a pickle. Will probably have to try Au or Mellau.
regards,
patricia
