I am looking for info on either of these ways. I can%26#39;t get pricing from the train website, for the train. How is Eurolines buses? Comfortable?
For the train, I may be interested in the overnight. I am looking for the cost for the overnight in November for the train.
Also the location of Eurolines bus stops in Vienna, is it in central area?

Train starts from 29 euro - oebb.at/pv/…index.jsp

They both take about the same amount of time, but even the %26#39;cheap seats%26#39; on the train would be preferable to the bus...

Along those same lines I am looking at $115 USD/per person (includes shipping the tickets, UPS next day) if I take the train from Prague vs $35 USD/per person via the bus? Are the bus staions relatively close to the city centers? And is it really that much worse for 4 hrs?
I have procrastinated and the only way I can get the tickets is having them shipped overnight and arriving tomorrow b/c we leave the US on Monday morning

Sorry, I meant from Vienna TO Prague, not from Prague

Vienna to Prague costs €29, not $118, unless you want to line the pockets of Rail Europe ...

And even if you bought the full-price ticket on the day at €59 (although it is possible to play tricks whereby you get it much cheaper) it is still way less than $118.
Basically do not touch Rail Europe with a bargepole - avoid at all costs.
BTW the original thread was about Vienna to Amsterdam (bus from Vienna to Amsterdam only runs on a Monday and isn%26#39;t to be recommended!)
For tickets from Vienna - Prague see here oebb.at/pv/…index.jsp you just print off the .pdf file as your e-ticket.
Have a look at this as well for some useful information http://europetrainsguide.com/

You could also contemplate flying completely or for a part of the journey which would save you precious time. AirBerlin offers flights to Düsseldorf and Dortmund - cities being close to the German/Dutch border from which you could go on by train. To Köln you could fly Germanwings or TUI Fly.
