There are no direct trains but several daily options with just 1 change of train. Best connection is 0804hrs from Amsterdam Central changing at Frankfurt Airport (which should be no problem as onward train to Vienna departs from same platform [track] as incoming train from Amsterdam), arrive Vienna 1922hrs. Through fares are not quoted on above site as 3 different countries are involved but I found advance purchase singles for 49 euros and 89 euros respectively by splitting the journey at Frankfurt Airport. The special Austrian fare from Frankfurt Airport to Vienna of 39 euros has already sold out but 89 euros is still a significant saving vs standard fares.
You can compare the above cost of 138 euros total with airline fares. I%26#39;m not that up to speed with flight options but KLM will operate this route and might offer 1 way fares. Watch out for %26#39;hidden%26#39; charges when considering budget carriers as there are often booking / payment card fees, cost to checkin a bag, low weight limits (and hefty excess per kg) etc. With train prices you%26#39;ll only pay what%26#39;s quoted, it%26#39;s city centre / centre and if you can carry your luggage you can take it for no additional cost.

You could also contemplate flying from nearby German cities such as Cologne or Dusseldorf. Getting there by train should not be a big deal. Dusseldorf is a hub of AirBerlin, while Cologne is a famous airport for Low-Cost-Carriers like Germanwings or TUIfly.
