Hi -
I am looking to book a ski holiday in Innbruck and am very keen to arrange accommodation within close proximity to the slopes and main resort area.
Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated for any b and bs / hotels providing great value with reasonable comfort!

Innsbruck is a moderate size city. it is not what I consider an ideal ski resort. Most all ski areas except one require a ski transfer bus to reach lift networks.
If you wish to be in the area of Innsbruck, I would suggest that you investigate the villages of Igls, Mutters, or even the town of Seefeld.
The above would have varied accomodations for you and also be within walkin distance to the ski lifts.

Did you find ski holiday accommodations in the other cities (Tirol area) that were recommended? We are looking to take a similar trip over New Years and wanted to stay close to the slopes.

Not sure what your reason is for wanting to stay in Innsbruck w.r.t. skiing. The main (bigger) skiing area is Axamer-Lizum 18km from Innsbruck (you could stay in the village of Axams - That%26#39;s about 11km from Innsbruck). If however you have transport and wish to visit a number of ski areas then I could understand you wanting to centralise yourself
