I%26#39;m flying from Heathrow to Kosice in Slovakia with a connection at Vienna. My preferred flight (with Austrian Airlines) has a 45 minute connection time - this seems very short to me. Does anybody know if this is reliably achievable?
Many thanks for any info.

Vienna is a compact airport with short walks betwwen the arrival and departure areas. It is a convenient and much used transfer point.
Connections times needed are not long at all.
Your posting implies that your flights are both with Austria Air . Your luggage is checked through and you can probably get the boarding cards for your Kosice or if not easily done at a transfer desk.
45 minutes is a sufficient connecting time . Naturally this assumes an on time arrival of your London flight.

A perfect answer, than you so much. I%26#39;ll get the flights booked today. and be sure to make sure the baggage is checked through and I get all the boarding cards at the start of the journey.

Vienna Airport is very comfortable for connections as ways are short. Even though your plane will arrive in the NON-Schengen area and the flight to Kosice will be from the Schengen area don%26#39;t worry, you%26#39;ll do it.
Vienna Airport also offers a direct transfer service (they put you in a minibus) if your first plane is late, also transferring the luggage usually works.
So don%26#39;t worry too much.

If you have boarding passes for all segments, you will make it...It%26#39;s true about the bus to the plane. The luggage part - hopefully, but not always.. Best of luck!
