Park & Ride lots - Salzburg - do they take USA credit cards?

I read where the park and ride lots around Salzburg are on a %26quot;cashless%26quot; system, and accept the European %26quot;Smart cards%26quot;. Being from USA, our credit cards are not Smart cards. Will they accept our cards?
