The new timetable has not been published yet, so check back later (in November). It%26#39;s a long but in parts scenic journey.

It is doable but difficult to get information this far ahead. However in general it is possible to get a direct train from Innsbruck to Milan and a direct train from Milan to Nice each journey about 5hrs; HOWEVER they don%26#39;t connect. As an example using the current timetables if you were to go next week and wanted to get the direct train from Milan to Nice (dep. 15:10 arrive 20:12) you would have to leave Innsbruck at 0700 with 3 changes (Fortezza, Bolzano, Verona). Other more direct services to Milan from Innsbruck may require you to change in Ventimiglia in the middle of the night (waiting from about 1am to 4:30am). The average overall journey time is 14-16 hours

Not sure about overall prices but adult ticket from Milan to Nice is about 30Euros.

When I have been to Milan by train I have taken the overnight direct from Munich Hbf.

When I go to Nice/Antibes I drive. It takes normally about 10hours from Munich.

I think you%26#39;ll have to try and mix and match the trains and decide when you would like to arrive and work your way backwards.

It is also possible via Zurich but you will do most of your changes between Zurich and Nice

for Italian trains
