We are planning a trip to Seefeld in Jan/Feb and was wondering how easy it would be to visit Zell am See by train, from there.
I realise it is quite a distance away but would still be interested.
Any inside information from someone who has done similar, would be great.

The new timetable (annual europe-wide timetable change on 13 Dec.) has not been published yet, but will be online soon.
Check www.oebb.at/pv/en/index.jsp
There is a discount from the 2nd passenger on, all tickets are flexible and valid on all trains, you buy them just before you go.

Thanks for the advice. Do you have any idea how long the train trip would take?

You will find via the current timetable that travel time varies by the train taken about 3 to 3 1/2 hours.
Normally timetable changes are minimal but who knows.
