we arrive @ vienna on the 2nd of nov for a week.
Is there a chance of taking a cruise on the danube river still in this week. As i understand the end of the season is @ 26 of october...Is there a different company to offer wachau cruises?
Is a daytrip to bratislava rewarding...?
thanks

You probably refer to the Melk - Krems boats that finish for the year on October 26 . This is a Holiday here - Austrian National Day and the last excursion for both firms Brandner and DDSG that offer these cruises.
I believe that the Vienna sightseeing boat still may run - but this is a very uninteresting trip along the danube canal in Vienna and a short connection along the Danube River again almost all in the city. To me this is not worth the time.
The Twin City Liner strill runs to Bratislava but this also not very scenic and Bratislava worth a very short visit . Time and money better spent in Vienna in my opinion.
The only other alternative is a %26quot; Theme %26quot; evening November 7 by DDSG %26quot; Martini Gansl %26quot; Dinner - a short cruise by night a relatively short distance up the Danube and a traditional goose dinner that is served this time of year here.
This may also be les than interesting but the views of the lighted skyline are OK.
