Have you heard of the Vienna Excursion Ticket that is issued by the Hungarian Railway Operator MAV? It is a highly discounted ticket that - as far as I remember - additionally includes public transportation in Vienna. For more on that visit the Budapest Forum. Our colleagues of the Hungary Forum will be happy to assist. Regarding hotels in Vienna I suggest to use the search function as recommendations are given on a daily basis.

As Mikey says use the search function on this forum or the TA Vienna hotel pages to look at hotels. The Vienna Tourist Board also has a hotel search function on the right hand side of the home page:

If you%26#39;re struggling and want specific recommendations you%26#39;d help us if you confirmed dates, price range, type of hotel (traditional, modern, grand, boutique) and any special requirements (gym, pool, family rooms) etc.

Thank you all

My address in Vienna for over 20 years has been the Hotel Pertschy (a few steps off Graben). And when it is filled, then I stay at their sister hotel the Alba (formerly the Christina) right behind Schwedenplatz.
They have both upgraded from %26quot;pension%26quot; status in the past year, but they are still reasonably-priced for the expensive city of Vienna.
