SkyEurope has suspended its sales and operations

Skyeurope has suspended its sales and operations. What i have to do?

Read the latest entries on the thread-%26quot; Beware of Sky Europe%26quot; here.

Be prepared for the loss of any monies paid for ticket purchase.

Nobody is really surprised about that. SkyEurope resembled a terminally ill patient whose life was prolonged by machines. All passengers of SkyEurope being on vacation now and expecting a return flight have to find their own flights back what could partly be a nightmare. A friend of mine is vacationing in Croatia. No idea whether he already got the bad news.

You can%26#39;t do anything right now. Find other flights or cancel your trip. You could also hope for other airlines announcing an offer for affected passengers. But as far as I remember these offers are mostly for %26quot;stranded%26quot; passengers. And finally it won%26#39;t be free of charge.....

I am in mourning - it was a great little airline while it lasted, not least because it was the only airline that flew the route that I need! Let%26#39;s hope someone comes along quick and fills that gap - there is massive demand on the Manchester-Bratislava route. A Manchester-Vienna flight would not go amiss, either, although the last time we had one of those it was horrendously expensive and used tiny little Embraers.

RIP Sky Europe :(

I could learn that if you have paid your booking by credit card, it is possible to withdraw the money. Immediately contact your credit card company for assistance!

orf.at announced that Austrian Airlines will take %26quot;stranded%26quot; passengers home for a flat fare of 150€. The problem is that %26quot;home%26quot; means, according to the news report on orf.at, transportation back to Austria. But if I were a SkyEurope passenger stranded in Vienna I would try to contact them in any case and ask whether they also offer that for outbound flights. Their number is +43 5 1766 1000

Wizzair, an airline operating ex Budapest and Prague, also announced an offer for stranded passengers of SkyEurope. Their fare is 30 EUR + surcharge for checked baggage.

Is there any possibility to have my money back? what i have to do?

|||

Please don%26#39;t ask us how to get money refunded - we don%26#39;t know anymore than you. If you paid by credit card you can try to get the money from the credit card company; if not, the chances are you%26#39;ve lost everything!

|||

If you have paid directly at the office of Sky Europe or made a direct booking on internet you will not have any chances to get your money bac!

If you have paid by credit card you can charge it back as due to the regulations of credit card company you have paid for somthing and service was not provided to you. So charge back your mony over credit card company!

If you have booked over travel agancy they are responsible to change your flight without any charges to you!

These are´the comments from Austrian Broadcast Company discoused yesterday on the radio!

Have a good luck
