Advice Needed: X-mas in Tirol

All,

I will be traveling through Austria during Christmas with 6 people. 4 of the six are couples and we are looking for a fun place to spend Christmas. We would check in the 24th and out the morning of the 26th. I have had Wellness Hotels in the Tirol area recommended. Do you have any recommendations of hotels that the ladies could enjoy reasonable spa treatments or have the option of outdoor activies such as skiing or horseback riding etc?

Would a hotel in Innsbruck be a better option? Where can we have a lovely Christmas with great food and great activities?

Thanks.

There are of course many options. Here are two you might look up on the Internet: (1) The Grand Hotel in Zell am See. That would be a %26quot;grand%26quot; affair, in a town that is very %26quot;Austrian%26quot;.

(2) Something entirely different: The Peternhof resort in Koessen/Tirol. This is a very nice, full service resort in a very scenic location, albeit off the beaten track. Although the resort is in Austria, it%26#39;s close to Reit im Winkl, a German resort village.

The Klosterbrau Hotel in the town of Seefeld would fit your needs.

Seefeld is on a high plateau just north of Innsbruck with good train connections. Fantastic scenery and atmosphere

The town offers good facilities for skiing, cross country skiin, ice skating , winter walking , sleih rides.

It is very festive at Christmas with numerous activities.

The Klosterbrau is a 5 star hotel in the center of the town at the town square and very near to the Church. This is a pedestrian zone area and very enjoyable.

The hotel offers excelent facilities for wellness, spa various baths , massages and health treatmens.

A great place to enjoy relax, excelent dining also.

The only problem may be the fact that most hotels during these Holiday times require longer stays.

I would contact them as quickly as possible as this is one of the most popular times for vacationers.
