vienna airport to derag hotel sieverengerstrasse by train

hello all...i plan to travel from vienna airport to derag hotel siverengerstrasse....s bahn seems to be the best option.....what is the price of train ticket to the derag hotel...am little confused about the tickets prices eg zone 2 etc...thanks

The journey with the least changes is to catch the train S8 from the airport to Handelskai changing there to the S45 in the direction of Hütteldorf alighting at Oberdöbling. This will need two transport tickets as it crosses two payment zones. Each ticket costs €1.80 making €3.60 in total. Alternatively at the airport you could buy an appropriate pass for multiple use of the transport system during your stay (almost certainly the best idea for exploring the city from your hotel) plus one extra €1.80 ticket for the zone between the airport and city boundaries. The price of a ride depends on the number of %26quot;touched%26quot; zones. As the airport is located outside the city, it is thus situated in the adjacent zone making it 2 when going to any destination in the city. The price for a ride to any address in Vienna is 3.60€. (2 x 1.80€). If you buy a pass for Vienna (24h,48h,72h, 1 week....) at the airport, you only need a supplement ticket for the part outside Vienna which is a regular 1 zone ticket (1.80€).

The mentioned hotel is close to the city rail (not subway!) station %26quot;Wien-Oberdöbling%26quot;. To reach this stop you need to transfer from the airport train to line S45 at Handelskai Station. If going to the city center you need to take tram line #38 then.
