Innsbruck to Mayrhofen private transfer

Does anyone know any reasonably priced transfer/taxi firms going from Innsbruck airport to Mayrhofen, as the ones I have contacted on the Innsbruck airport website are charging more than the flights! I used to get a really good deal when we went Salzburg to Obertauern or Saalbach, (100 euro round strip) but cheap flights to Salzburg from Manchester have stopped for 2010 so being forced to change resorts. Suggestions welcome.

Check with four seasons

www.tirol-taxi.at

or www.airport-transfer.com

Also check with the mayrhofen tourist office - they may have some special offers available

www.mayrhofen.at

a bus to the innsbruck train station and then a transfer by bus and /or train is a cheap way but more trouble with the transfers.

Thanks,

checked out 4 seasons, £210, very expensive for just 2 people and such a short transfer. (tirol-taxi and airport-transfer take you to the same Four Season%26#39;s website). I%26#39;ll keep looking - but thanks again.

check the price - I believe that is probably a round trip price given in the 200 euro range

Also check the Mayrhofen tourist office directly-

www.mayrhofen.at

ask about local firms there

several taxi companies in mayrhofen can probably offer this service. too

That was the round trip price, I converted it from Euros.

I have emailed the Tourist Office in the past, and used their site, but still not found any reasonable prices, odd that it%26#39;s so much more expensive than the firms that operate out of Salzburg!

One of the tranfer links on the Mayrhofen site doesn%26#39;t work, the other one (www.christophorus.at ) you can%26#39;t use because the %26#39;request form%26#39; doesn%26#39;t accept uk post codes! So I used the email link off the Mayrhofen site for this compnay - and that bounced back undelivered%26gt; address unknown! So Four seasons is the only choice on the TO website! Not my lucky day!

Note 4 seasons is one of the firmsoffering transfers from salzburg airport.

Several more choices

taxi firms offering airport transfers in Mayrhofen area

Taxi Kroll www.taxikroell.com

Reinis

www.reinis-taxi.at.tf/

several other firms nearby

Sandhofer in Schwendau

Eberharter in Ramsau

If all fails you still have a good rail bus connection from the airport. Or emergancy offer.

if I am in Mayrhofen when you visit ( family there ) - I have a kombi - some dog hair but can make the 1 hour journey easily.- no advertisement !

Bus /train

www.zillertalbahn.at

Thanks, tried these already, incase anyone wants to know their prices:

Reinis £258

Kroll £262

Will try the others suggested but I can%26#39;t see anyone being much cheaper, they all seem to be around the same price give or take £10

why do you want a private transfer as the trains are so good have you got an early or late flight the train costs about 20 euros return
