Train from airport to St Stephens

Have a hotel booked close to St Stephens Cathedral. Can anyone advise the best way to get from airport to St Stephens using the train/metro?

Take S8 (regional train service) to Wien-Mitte and change to underground line U3 there (direction: Ottakring). Just two stops to Stephansplatz, on which stands St Stephen´s :). This will cost you EUR 3,60 (ticket for Vienna and one outer zone).

Alternatively, you could take the CAT (City Airport Train) to the same stop, it´s about 15 minutes faster but costs more (EUR 9,- for the CAT and an extra EUR 1,80 for the use of the underground in Vienna).
